We flew from Medellin to Lima via Panama City.

Puerto Maldonado (9 to 10 April)

9 April

We flew from Lima to Puerto Maldonado.

We were having lunch when some saddle-back tamarins showed up.


Tambopata National Reserve (10 to 14 April)

10 April

We traveled to Chuncho Lodge in the Tambopata National Reserve.

We climbed up a 40 metre high tower to look for birds above the rainforest canopy.

We left Chuncho Lodge in the morning to spend our final night at Lake Sandoval. Some of the wildlife we saw on the way there.

We took a train from Cusco to Puno.

We took a trip to the floating islands of Uros on Lake Titicaca. The Uru people started building and living on them approximately 3,700 years ago.

We took a bus from Puno to Arequipa via Chivay.
